Baby crack

So far, I haven't really been into the baby video thing. We got a couple as gifts, but we had DVD problems so I never much tried them now. Well, now the DVD is fixed and Baby Einstein is on. Man, that's some disturbing shit. The plot, if you can call it that, is so non-existent that it makes the Teletubbies seem like Shakespeare in terms of character and plot development. The couple we have mostly show some toys in action. For that, I wonder if he couldn't just play with the toys himself rather than watching it. Then it has some kids laughing, some puppets and a train - none of which seem to make any sense all together.

What's weirder still is the mesmerizing effect is has on Andy. He stares at the tiny TV screen in our bedroom with complete attention. He doesn't do that with much else. We've been calling it "baby crack" since it has him so rapt. I think they could have subliminal messages in there like "Drink Coke" or "Kill the President." If I were an evil genius, I would use these baby videos to take over the next generation.
